Deleting data from the Server

The Deployment Module allows data files to be removed from the server. Any organization, curve family, or product line data file can be removed from the server as long as the following rules are followed:

Note: Deleting data from the Server does not remove the files from the Deployment Module. To remove files from the module, the Delete from Deployment Module option must be used. It is HIGHLY recommended that files first be deleted from the server before being deleted from the deployment module

To delete data from IFE using the Deployment Module (Version Control):
    1. Select the file(s) to be deleted.

    1. From the main menu, select Deployment Module -> Delete from Server, or right click on a file and pick Delete from Server from the right-click menu.

    1. The Confirm Delete option box will be displayed. Select Yes to proceed.

    1. The status window will display the progress.

    1. Go to the Selector or Configurator and verify the data was deleted.

To delete the files from the Deployment Module simply replace the "Delete from Server" menu option with " Delete from Deployment Module" in the steps above.

Note: It is strongly suggested that the data files be removed from the server before being removed from the Deployment Module.

The third option, “Delete All Selector Data”, will remove all files deployed under the Selector branch of the navigation tree from the server. It will not delete any files from the deployment module.
