Near miss selections are those that do not fully conform to the conditions of service, but warrant being displayed to the user for consideration. You can click on a near miss selection to display the Performance Datasheet and then experiment with the conditions of service to turn the selection into an acceptable selection. Below are examples of how a near miss is displayed on the search result page and performance datasheet.
The near miss reason for each applicable pump is shown in the Near Miss Reason column. The image below shows that pump size 80x40x150 IQ-HCC is a near miss because "Rated head above maximum impeller diameter.".
On the performance datasheet the near miss reason is displayed in a pop-up window accessed by the clicking on the near miss reasons link located by the page menu options. In addition the performance datasheet highlights in bold red text the condition which is causing the near miss. The image below is an example how the performance datasheet addresses a near miss. In this case, the operation condition "flow, rated' (bold red text) is the value that is casing the near miss. The pop-up window (which is displayed when clicking on the text near miss reasons) shows the detailed reason.
