Product test pressure limits are populated in the hydrostatic test pressure table. The SKB offers flexibility in choosing options (rules) that determine the limits. Test pressure limits can be driven through the use of performance options and can be entered as values or equations. See examples below.
For vertical turbine pumps, this data applies to the bowl.
In the navigational tree, open the engineering data folder for the product line to edit.
Click on hydrostatic test pressures in the navigational window.
The data manager window will display the hydrostatic test pressure table.
Enter a row rule.
Enter column rule or rules.
Insert the numbers of columns needed to populate your data. Click here to see an example.
Hydrostatic test pressure table with two columns inserted
Select or manually enter the rule criteria for the columns.
Enter data in the appropriate column-row cell relationship. See the below examples.
Important
:
Remember to assign
the correct units
of measure before entering
data.
Example 1 - Hydrostatic test pressure table - values (pump size & material as the rule criteria).
This image shows an example of a populated Hydrotest pressure table in which the test pressures are dependent upon the pump size and material.
Example 2 - Hydrostatic test pressure table - equation
This image shows an example of a populated Hydrotest pressure table in which the test pressures are dependent upon the pump size and material. Notice that the test pressures for Mtl-CI are defined as 1.5*WPL (working pressure limit).
Example 3 - Hydrostatic test pressure table – equation HI & API 610 standards
This image shows examples of equations to support the calculation for HI standards and API610
