Impeller Peripheral Speed Limit Table

The Impeller peripheral speed limit is used to determine mechanical limitations based on impeller peripheral speed. The Selector calculates a rated peripheral speed in m/s using the equation:

 where impellerDiameter is in mm.

The Selector than checks the rated peripheral speed against the peripheral speed limit defined by this table. The table offers flexibility in choosing rule options which determine the limits.

To populate the radial load limits table:
    1. In the navigational tree, open the engineering data folder for the product line to edit.

    2.  Click on Impeller peripheral speed limit in the navigational window.

    3. The data manager window will display the Impeller peripheral speed limit table.

    4. Enter a row rule

    5. Enter  column rule or rules.

    1. Insert the numbers of columns needed to populate your data.

    2. Select or manually enter the rule criteria for the columns.

    3. Enter data in the appropriate column-row cell relationship. See the below example.

Important : Remember to assign the correct units of measure before entering data.

Example 1 - Table with pump size and casing/impeller construction as the rule criteria.
